Asthma is an incurable illness. Asthma attacks of this type can be fatal and the patient may require urgent hospitalization. Asthma is a chronic disease that makes it hard to breathe. Asthma is a condition of the airways. People with asthma have sensitive airways in their lungs which react to triggers that set off their asthma. Asthma is a disease of the lungs in which the airways become blocked or narrowed causing breathing difficulty. Asthma is a disease in which the airways become blocked or narrowed. These effects are usually temporary but they cause shortness of breath, breathing trouble and other symptoms. The airways may tighten, partially close up, swell inside and make more mucus, when faced with certain triggers. This makes it hard to breathe in and even harder to breathe out. Asthma effects children and adults, and may develop at any age. It is the most common chronic disease in childhood. Asthma is characterized by attacks of breathlessness, tight chest, wheezing and coughing which are caused by the airways becoming narrowed and inflamed. Asthma can arise at any age but why some people have the disease and others do not is not known. Asthma is a chronic lung condition that affects the airways. Asthma makes breathing difficult because the airways become swollen, produce too much mucus and the muscles around the airways tighten. Asthma can range from mild to severe and can be life threatening. Asthma is an inflammatory disease of the air passages, making them prone to narrowing and increased mucus production. Asthma is a chronic disease involving the air passageways of the lungs the bronchial tubes. This disease causes the bronchial tubes to be overly sensitive to many different things; when exposed to these things, the bronchial tubes of persons with asthma narrow, making it difficult for air to pass freely in and out of the lungs. Medicines designed to cause muscles surrounding these bronchial tubes to relax are called "bronchodilators." Bronchodilators can be inhaled directly onto the bronchial tubes or they can be swallowed then absorbed from the stomach into the bloodstream and delivered to the bronchial tubes via the blood. Asthma is a chronic lung disease that causes episodes of difficulty breathing. Asthma symptoms are caused primarily due to constriction, tightening of the muscles surrounding the airways, and inflammation, soreness, swelling and irritation of the airways in the lungs. Smoking is one of the main causes of asthmatic bronchitis. Smoke consists of particles, and that will cause other particles such as chemicals, dust or vapors to aggravate the illness even more. Asthma medications belong to two broad categories based on whether they provide quick relief or long-term control of asthma symptoms. Asthma is a chronic disease that causes airways in the lungs to become irritated and inflamed (swollen) making it hard to breathe. Symptoms include coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath. Asthma is a condition in which your airways narrow and swell and produce extra mucus. Asthma is a disease of the lungs in which the airways become blocked or narrowed causing breathing difficulty. The cause of asthma is also known as a trigger and one trigger is rhinitis. Allergic rhinitis is excessive discharge of mucus glands in the nose, congestion of the veins in the nasal cavity that can cause blockage of nasal airflow and cause irritation of the sensory nerves in the nose and throat. Bronchial irritability is the basic cause of asthma problems. The inflammation of the bronchial walls causes loss of protective cells from mucosa therefore exposing sensitive nerve endings to the affected area. This is probably a direct result of genetics. The kind of physical activities that can bring on asthma symptoms include not only exercise, but also laughing, crying, holding one's breath and hyperventilating.
